I'm All Prayed Out.. GRACE SPACE

I’m all prayed out…Creating your Grace Space

  • Buried in broken dreams?

  • Fear of disappointment = anger

  • Fear of lack of control= anxiety

Maybe you had a parent who was so controlling that you're craving control in your current life and you walk around angry all the time.

Maybe you were the victim of sexual, physical or emotional abuse and you don't want to let anyone see cracks in your current armor for fear that they'll take advantage so you hide your anger with anxiety.

Control is the enemy of rest. Jesus tells us, “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest” (Matthew 11:28). When things feel out of control, our tendency is to hold tighter, grip harder, or work more. But Jesus explains that the opposite is true.

The concept of 'not enough faith or trust' is promoted as the core reason why we find it hard to let God take control of our lives, and the main culprit of why we sometimes choose to run away from God instead of to Him.

12:2 Isaiah

“See, God has come to save me. I will trust in him and not be afraid. The LORD God is my strength and my song; he has given me victory.”

If you find yourself in a panic attack (as I have been before), or in high anxiety and cannot grasp prayer… consider pausing and implementing…

The 3-3-3 rule.

Look around you:

  1. name three things you see.

  2. name three sounds you hear

  3. move three parts of your body — your ankle, fingers, or arm.

Once you’ve regained some balance:

Write down 3 things you can do right now for anxiety, if you can’t .. give it to God.

(What triggered the attack? Could you prevent it with one of the things listed? If not, give it to God!)

I’m all prayed out…

She didn't quit. She didn't get disappointed when she missed the target, she kept trying..
Maya setting goals in archery

Maya could have easily gotten disappointed and quit after she had several missed hits on the target. But she didn't. She kept trying, knowing it was one of her first times (stepping out of her comfort zone) and with that kept realistic expectations.
